From Mike's Boomer Shoot documentary video.  At 334 MBytes it's too large to put on the web site, but I thought it was a really cool image.

Two weeks before the event (left to right) Remington, Lacey, Jamie, and Brandon helped make over 300 targets in one day.

Sara and Xenia marking the shooting area on Thursday.  In the distance Alan and Arden get directions from Ry on how to place the target stakes.

Alan and Arden put in some of the target stakes -- over 100 of them.

Ry making the fireball targets.

Early Friday morning the fog was so thick you couldn't begin to see the target area from the firing line.

The Friday teenager staff.  Left to right; Sara, Xenia, Jamie, Kim, and Kenny.  Not pictured is Spunky.

Just some of the women that attended.  This was on Friday.

More Friday shooters.

The KLEW TV reporter, John Beckman, takes a few shots with Ry's rifle.

Gene giving a lecture to his students on Saturday. The weather was a bit cool and breezy.

Jason, Joe, and Ry building targets on Saturday.  We were very thankful for Robert parking his RV to give us a wind break.
One guy came up to us and asked if we were making scones.

Probably the highlight of the entire event was the fireball target demo on Sunday.  See also the picture below.
From the video (3.4 MBytes) by Jason.  You may need to install a free codec to view it.  Get it from this web site: http://www.divx.com/divx/
For people with slow machines or slow downloads try this video (1.3 MBytes) instead.
There is also this 5.3 MByte .MPG file by Ben from a different perspective.

"The Rock" before the first fireball demo.

On Sunday the demo target was placed in front of the rock to cause the gasoline to move up instead of away from the spectators.  Notice also the can of Sterno burning between the rocks.  This was the backup ignition source.

The demo target for Sunday.  Notice the condition of the rock above and then in the picture below.
The gasoline in the milk jugs is the bright color because of the dye in it for farm use (no road tax is paid on it).

The ground appeared to be on fire as the remnants of the Sunday fireball demo continue to burn.

The pile of rocks on the right used to be one solid rock.  Fireball demos caused the change.

The fireballs worked better on Sunday than Friday.

Sunday shooters came prepared for the rain.  It actually wasn't that bad.  Sunday afternoon was actually nice.

More signs of well prepared shooters on Sunday.  Yes, this is the shooting line.  Not the camping area!

Bob and Mike working on a 600 yard boomer as a 700 yard one is nailed by someone else.

The last fireball of the event.  Click on the image to view the hi resolution version.
Lee Ellyn (on the right) thought she was going to going to get it, but Bob in the next slot to the left beat her to it.
